The DGHF believes that some of the best ideas come from connecting with others. 

Our team was proud to attend the Philanthropic Leadership Forum in Edmonton, joining leaders from foundations and nonprofit organizations for two days of education, conversation, and collaboration. 

The forum explored a range of topics important to the philanthropic sector, including community engagement,  fundraising, storytelling, leadership, partnerships, and creating meaningful impact. It was an opportunity for our members to step outside of our own community, learn from the experiences of others, and discover ideas that can help strengthen the work we do here at home.

A key theme throughout the forum was the power of partnerships. Strong communities are build when organizations come together, share knowledge, and work towards a common goal. We were inspired by the creativity and dedication of organizations across the province and the many ways they are connecting with the people and communities they serve.

We returned to Devon with fresh perspectives, new connections, and plenty of ideas to explore.

Connecting for impact means learning together, growing together, and bringing that knowledge back to the communities we serve.
