Join our Board
The Devon General Hospital Foundation, established in 1994, is a charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees representing the hospital and community. The Board provides governance and strategic direction, supported by committees focused on governance, finance, fundraising, events, communications, and marketing. Trustees help raise awareness and guide effective fundraising to support hospital and community needs.
Time Commitment
We seek committed individuals to serve a three-year volunteer term on the Board. Trustees attend 7–10 meetings per year, including the AGM, serve on at least one committee, and participate in fundraising events.
This is a volunteer (non-paid) position. Interested individuals, who are residents of or who work in the Devon and surrounding area are invited to apply. If you are not able to commit the time to a Trustee position, consider becoming a volunteer. We seek candidates with a passion for our cause, a commitment to action and a willingness to lend skills, experience, and personal support.
Typical duties of a Board Member include:
- Attending board meetings
- Serving on at least one committee
- Serving a three-year term
- Assisting and attending fundraising events
The Board will review all applications and contact qualified candidates for further discussion. Those individuals invited to become a Trustee must submit to a police reference check prior to being appointed to the Board.
