CURRENT PROJECTS
As part of the ongoing renovations to the Devon General Hospital, the Foundation has committed over $125,000 over the next couple of years to ensure that both residents and visitors are more comfortable in the Hospital.Specific work includes:
- Family Centre Care Suites –All furnishings, including new electric beds, to equip 2 new Family Care Suites in the Hospital.
- Long Term Care Upgrades - including furnishings & entertainment centre.
- Emergency Room – Furnishings, including IV treatment chairs
- Nursing Unit – new tub/lift
- Acute Care Room - all new furnishings including a tub and lift
- Meditation Room - includes all furnishings and a new stained glass window
- Foundation Office – A permanent office and equipment upon from which to operate the business of the Foundation
- Breast Pump Rentals
- Specially designed Bathtubs
- Telephones in Acute Care Rooms – at no charge
- Television Rentals
- Equipment for Community Care/Adult Day Program
- Defibrillators for the Community
- Furnishing quiet rooms and the Long Term Care Dining Room
- Enhancing the outdoor Courtyard
- Rehabilitation equipment
BURSARY PROGRAM
The Foundation is delighted to announce the establishment of a Bursary Program which will annually award two payments of $1,500.00 each to two students enrolled in a full time Registered Nurse or Healthcare program. Applications must be received by the Foundation by March 15th of each year.
